Grand Robbery: Armed thief startled by woman’s scream at an ATM in southwest Houston on West Bellfort Boulevard

HOUSTON, TX (KTRK) — The Houston Police Department needs the public’s help to identify a suspect involved in a major robbery in southwest Houston.

At approximately 10:40 p.m. Thursday, September 22, the victim deposited a check at an ATM on Block 4800 of West Bellfort Boulevard.
According to the victim, the unknown suspect approached her, pointed a gun and demanded money. The woman screamed, startling the robber and causing him to run across the street.
Investigators said the suspect climbed onto the passenger side of an older model Chevrolet Impala and drove away.
In the photo below, police describe the suspect as a black male, 25 to 30 years old, 5ft 9″ to 5ft 10″ tall, weighing between 140 and 150 pounds and wearing dark clothing.
