GR event to support people living with leukemia, lymphoma

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – Members of the Grand Rapids community will come together to demonstrate their support for cancer patients.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society hosts a light night walk in Calder Plaza Thursday.

The festival begins with activities at 6:00 PM, followed by the Opening Ceremony which begins at 7:15 PM

According to the website, the group has raised about $125,000 so far. If you would like to make a contribution, there will be a fundraising tent at the event.

The organizers ask blood cancer patients and immunocompromised people to check with their doctor before attending.
