Golf carts recalled due to risk of accident and injury

CLARKSBURG, Va. (WBOY) – Textron is recalling some of its golf carts due to the risk of accidents and injuries.
According to a recall alert posted on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s website, Textron’s 2022 and 2023 model years Freedom and Valor EZ-GO RXV personal transport vehicles are being recalled because a portion of the steering column can fracture during or after an impact resulting in a loss of control and lead to the risk of accidents and injuries.



According to the alert, Textron has received 335 reports of broken knuckle and A-arm incidents on the PTVs, including one incident that led to two reports of abrasion injuries.
The recall affects vehicles with serial numbers in the range of 5656874 to 5656886 and 5659215 to 5700741, according to the warning. The photo below shows the location of the serial number on the vehicles.
