Gerard Pique ‘very upset’ at ex-Shakira’s plan to move family to Miami after receiving ‘days notice’

GERARD Pique was said to be “very upset” after being told just “days in advance” that his ex Shakira will be moving to Miami with their two sons this week.

The Colombian singer is reportedly planning to leave Barcelona starting a new life this week with her parents and sons Milan (ten) and Sasha (eight).

Shakira’s attorney, Pilar Mane, informed Pique’s attorney, Ramon Tamborero, in a formal announcement that the star was leaving for good, according to journalists Lorena Vasquez and Laura Fa.

They said Shakira, 46, called the former Barcelona defender to confirm the news.

They also claimed that the two boys would start school in Florida on April 11 — the day US schoolchildren will return to classes after spring break.

Pique was said to be furious and still in the dark about which day they will be flying to the States.

Fa and Vazquez said, “He is very upset because he was told in a very short time.

“He doesn’t agree that the kids don’t finish the school year in Barcelona.”

None of the couple’s attorneys could be reached for comment this morning.

Fa, said earlier this month that the artist is aiming for a new date of April 1 to leave Barcelona with her children after initial reports said it would happen at the end of the school year in June.

That was before her mother Nidia Ripoll was hospitalized in the Catalan capital after a blood clot was found in her leg.

Shakira was due to move to Miami in January after signing a custody agreement with Pique in December, but plans were delayed due to her 91-year-old father’s ill health.

The couple, who split last May after 11 years together, confirmed in November they had reached an agreement after lengthy negotiations that culminated in a marathon 12-hour meeting with their lawyers. They signed the agreement in a Barcelona court the following month.

As part of the deal, retired footballer Pique, who is now dating 24-year-old Catalan beauty Clara Chia, will spend the holidays with his children.

Shakira’s desire to relocate to Miami, where she used to live and where part of her family is based, appears to have been the main culprit behind the former couple’s previous failure to reach an out-of-court settlement.

Vanitatis says Shakira, her parents and their children will all be living together when they reach Miami.

The artist, who has relatives and several close friends in Miami, owns a £14million mansion in the city which she is said to have put up for sale in 2018 before taking it off the market a few months ago.

Earlier this week, Spanish media claimed Shakira may have found love with a new man in Miami.

News website OK Diario said she was told the 46-year-old mother of two met the mystery man a few months ago before writing her latest diss song about Pique and his new girlfriend Clara Chia.
