Nathan is filming the show in South Africa, confirming last month’s report from The Sun that he was in talks to be a part of the series.
He shared the news on his Instagram, as the reality favorite posted a video taken just before he left for the jungle.
A shirtless Nathan said in the clip: “Morning everyone if you’re seeing this then obviously the news has broken that I’m going into the jungle to do ‘I’m A Celebrity Australia’. I think that’s the car outside waiting to be picked up on me.
“I’m so excited, I’m so nervous, this is the biggest secret I’ve ever kept and you know I have a very big mouth. I hope I make Britain proud and I hope everyone votes for me to win. I’m getting a little emotional, what the hell.”
He signed by adding: “I’ll go anyway but thanks and n but I hope you guys enjoy it. I’m going to the damn jungle, what the hell.”
His co-stars rushed to congratulate him.
“Well done Nathan!!! Go smash it,” wrote Marnie Simpson.
Vicky Pattison, who appeared on the Down Under version of the show alongside Charlotte Crosby, added: “Smash it son”.

A source recently told The Sun: “I’m A Celebrity is a huge opportunity for Nathan and he really wants to do the show.
“It’s really a dream come true for him. It’s also perfect timing now that Geordie Shore is on the wane.”
Geordie Shore has a huge fan base in Australia and Nathan has built a large following there since joining the MTV show in 2015.
Earlier this year, The Sun told how Geordie Shore was axed after 12 years.
Insiders said TV executives are pulling the infamous MTV show amid plummeting ratings.
In recent years, ratings have fallen to just over 100,000.
At its peak, it regularly drew more than a million viewers per episode.
The first show of its kind documented a group of 20 year olds stumbling from bar to bar in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
The original cast included Charlotte, Gaz, Vicky, Jay Gardner, Holly Hagan, James Tindale, Greg Lake and Sophie Kasaei.
When it first aired, the show caused a huge backlash, with Geordie Shore accused of glorifying binge drinking.
Despite this, the series was a huge hit, sparking spin-offs including All Star Shore and the reunion shows
Vicky, 35, Charlotte, 32, and Gaz, 34, have all become millionaires thanks to countless lucrative brand deals and TV appearances thanks to their show fame.
Gaz has largely retired from the spotlight to raise his two children, Chester, five, and Primrose, three, with his wife Emma Beadle.

However, Charlotte and Vicky are still regularly seen on television.
Aside from Geordie Shore, Nathan has appeared on numerous other reality shows including Celebs Go Dating, Celebrity Ex On The Beach and The Challenge UK.
