How is it? Though the hotel has 285 rooms, it never felt particularly crowded, aside from the odd line at the front desk.

However, one of the hallmarks of this hotel is its focus on the environment and sustainability.

You won’t find single-use plastic on the grounds, the hotel grows its own vegetables, there are chalkboards instead of blocks and pens, and the front desk is made out of fallen trees.

There’s even a free Tesla to take you around the neighborhood for free.

room good? Rooms are appropriately modern, outfitted with 50-inch smart TVs, Nespresso machines, minibars stocked with locally sourced produce, and even yoga mats.

Staying true to the sustainability theme, there’s reclaimed wood, organic linens, native greenery, and concrete ceilings.

Views are of either the Hollywood Hills or downtown Los Angeles.

Rooms are also remarkably quiet despite being in the heart of West Hollywood, and the blackout blinds are a dream come true.

Eat there or get a pizza? The hotel’s main restaurant, Kitchen 1, offers typical Southern California cuisine from garden to table.

This is also where you’ll find a breakfast each morning, with items ranging from chia pudding to breakfast burritos.

You can also look out for delicious, albeit pricey, cocktails at the hotel’s Juniper Tree Bar.

But if you’re looking for something quicker and easier, there’s an In-N-Out Burger just a five-minute walk away.

What else? The hotel’s location is one of its best selling points, as it’s right on the Sunset Strip.

The world famous Comedy Store is across the street and the music venue Whiskey A Go Go is a further 10 minutes away.

If you’re looking to get outdoors and mingle with LA folks, the Hollywood Hills hiking trails are a short drive away.

You can also reach Santa Monica in less than 30 minutes – traffic dependent.

However, if you want to relax, the hotel has everything you need to do so.
