Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 introduces Doctor Strange and removes buildings

Fourteen days Chapter 3 Season 2 launches today (March 20) along with a host of new weapons and characters – check out the trailer below.

The Battle Pass will allow players to unlock Doctor Strange alongside Tsuki 2.0, Gunnar, The Imagined, Kiara KO, The Origin, and Erisa.

Per the announcement, players will also be able to unlock world-class criminal Prowler later in the season.

To help players in battle, Fourteen days has also added new weapons like the Combat SMG and the Striker Burst Rifle alongside various non-vaulted weapons and those introduced in Season 1.

The new season of Fourteen days also comes with some movement upgrades. There’s now a faster default speed alongside a faster sprint and the ability to shoulder open a door and pull yourself up off a ledge.

“This sprint is so fast you’re going to take everything you’ve got in your hand. Of course, super-fast sprinting can’t be sustained forever, so a new sprint meter will tell you how much longer you can keep going at that pace,” explains Epic.

Perhaps the most significant change in Fourteen days However, Chapter 3 Season 2 is the removal of Building.

“Building has been obliterated,” the announcement reads. “To maintain cover, you now have an overshield on your shield and health. The overshield is your first line of defense: before your shield and health are hit, your overshield will break. Your overshield will still recover if it drops all the way to 0.”

However, the patch notes confirm that “Buildings in Competitive/Arena playlists, Team Rumble, and Creative Islands are unaffected.”

Earlier this morning, Epic Games pledged to donate everything Fourteen days Purchases from today (March 20) to April 3 will go towards humanitarian aid to people affected by the war in Ukraine.

“This includes V-Buck packs, giveaway Battle Passes, and cosmetic packs like the Voidlander pack that are sold for real money. Retail purchases of in-game cosmetics and V-Bucks cards are also included if redeemed in-game during this window,” Epic said, attributing the finds to Direct Relief, UNICEF, the UN refugee agency and the diet of the United Nations go program.
