Former NFL MVP Adrian Peterson arrested at LAX after reporting domestic violence – Orange County Register
LOS ANGELES – Adrian Peterson, a former NFL MVP and current freelance, was arrested Sunday at Los Angeles International Airport following an alleged incident of domestic violence on a jetliner.
The incident caused a departing flight to return to LAX, according to News ABC7.
Around 8:30 a.m., the Los Angeles Airport police boarded a plane that had left Houston, the station reported.
According to a statement released by airport police and cited by ABC7, the matter is believed to have been a verbal and physical altercation between a man and a woman.
Peterson, 36, was taken into custody and booked into the Los Angeles Police Department’s Pacific Police Department for allegedly injuring a spouse.
According to prison records, Peterson posted $50,000 bail and was released shortly before 12:30pm.
His wife continued the flight to Houston.
