One of Apple TV+’s best dramas – which is saying a lot in a year severance pay and pachinko– finally returns after a long break. For all mankindthat ccritically acclaimed alternative history sci-fi series, vappears beyond the moon in the first teaser for season three, which is set to premiere in June.
The show debuted alongside the streaming platform in 2019. In its first season, NASA astronauts attempt to reach the moon after a Soviet cosmonaut became the first human to do so in 1969. The US begins educating women and minorities who have been excludedd from the first decades of space exploration. The second season, set in 1983, escalates the war between the two nations when they manage to establish a lunar base. It leads to a full blown, highly suspenseful battle on the lunar surface, culminating in a hell of a fight Season two finale. No spoilers here, but get ready to have your heart crushed in duct tape.
As seen in the all-too-brief season 3 teaser (and as revealed in the final shot of this explosive finale), For all mankind is now moving into the 90’s as the space race expands to Mars. Several countries vie to conquer the Red Planet as US astronauts step onto the surface. NASA boss Ellen Wilson (Jodi Balfour) can be heard with a battle cry: “When we stand behind a common goal, there is nothing we cannot achieve.”
For all mankind was created by Ronald D. Moore, Ben Nedivi and Matt Wolpert. The ensemble includes Joel Kinnaman, Krys Marshall, Wrenn Schmidt, Cynthy Wu, Shantel VanSanten, Sonya Walger, Casey Johnson and Coral Peña. Edi Gathegi joins the cast as charismatic visionary Dev Ayesa.
The 10-episode third season begins June 10 on Apple TV+, with a new episode releasing every Friday.
