The DCU’s new architect – James Gunn – recently surprised everyone by praising a film he didn’t do and the cast of which is quite controversial. Of course we talk about Ezra Miller and the upcoming Tentpole release The Lightning. People who don’t like Miller aren’t happy about it.
In a video announcing the upcoming plan for the DCU’s next 8-10 years, Gunn called the film “an amazing movie that I really love and that resets the entire DC Universe.” There’s no need to go into the intimate details of why a lot of people dislike Miller, but if you’re interested, we’ve written a whole thing about it.
The unfortunate truth is that if the film is a big hit and Miller keeps acting, it’s likely all will be forgotten. That’s the way things work, and that’s the way things seem to go.
