Elizabeth Olsen is teasing the next Scarlet Witch storyline in her MCU future

One of the biggest characters in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is undoubtedly Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff. Come out Avengers: Endgame, the heroine had lost the love of her life – twice. This led to a little show called WandaVisionwhere she created a perfect life for herself.
The only problem was that this perfect life involved conjuring up a fake husband and two not-so-real children. Oh, and she held an entire town hostage under what amount of mind control for quite a while.
From there it didn’t get any better. Thanks to Agatha Harkness, she got her hands on the Darkhold, an evil magical grimoire that wasted no time corrupting her. The effects of this were seen in very brutal Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness– It was even worse before scenes were deleted.
At the end of the film, Wanda seemingly fell with Mount Wundagore, never to be seen again. With that said, however, Olsen has now teased what she wants as the next development of her maybe not-so-dead character.
Elizabeth Olsen teases Wanda’s fate

In an interview with Variety, WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Star Elizabeth Olsen opened up about her character’s next development in the MCU and hopes where she’ll head next.
One of the first things the actress noted was her hope that Wanda will take the lead “Towards Some Kind of Redemption” story Whenever the character returns, this almost confirms that the Scarlet Witch is alive:
“I think Wanda is on a path to some kind of redemption, I think she was on that path. I don’t think any of those characters have ever really gone away, especially when you introduce the multiverse to multiply all of our bodies into different other universes.”
The actress shared how she’s learned over the years that sticking with one character isn’t a bad performance, and Olsen reveals she’s never felt that “Limitations” that others in different circumstances feel:
“Something that playing Wanda’s has taught me over the years is how many things and possibilities you can do with one character. It kind of breaks the sense of limitation of being with a character for so long and the narrative of how continues to change. That character is being used to tell a story and it opens up a way for you to think about how we can approach character and storytelling and hopefully take challenging paths.
This story evolves. Please check back for updates!
