Ed Sheeran and Camila Cabello for ITV’s “Concert For Ukraine”

Ed Sheeran and Camila Cabello have been announced for ITV Concert for Ukraine next week at the Resort World Arena in Birmingham – tickets are available here.

They will be joined by Emeli Sandé, Gregory Porter and Snow Patrol, with more announcements to come in the coming days.

The two-hour benefit show, announced last week, will be broadcast on ITV on March 29 in support of the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) humanitarian appeal in Ukraine.

In addition, all sponsorship and advertising revenue from broadcasting the event – which is expected to bring in over £3million – will be donated by ITV to the DEC Fund.

Tickets for the event, taking place at Birmingham’s Resort World Arena, go on sale tomorrow (22 March).

Camila Cabello said of the crisis: “My heart breaks for the people of Ukraine. As refugees from Ukraine join millions of other displaced people around the world, we all have a responsibility. One of the greatest needs is raising funds for organizations that can serve these communities directly, so we are focusing our efforts on doing this as quickly as possible.”

Emeli Sandé added: “I will sing to try to help every person who is forced to flee their homeland and in solidarity with those who are also facing racial discrimination in this humanitarian crisis. No one should be denied access to supplies, assistance and the right to cross borders safely, and I welcome the opportunity to support the DEC’s appeal to help all those whose lives have been impacted by the conflict.”

Speak with NME London-based Ukrainian electro-pop duo Bloom Twins late last month described the current situation in their home country as “appalling”.

“It really hit us,” said singer Anna Kuprienko. “We were there just two months ago. We had hope that this situation with Russia would not go where it is and that it would resolve itself.”

The likes of Arcade Fire, Patti Smith and Franz Ferdinand have recently performed at benefit shows in Ukraine, while London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire has announced it will host ‘A Night For Ukraine’ this week.

Elsewhere, The Cure launched a new charity band t-shirt as Massive Attack confirmed plans to sell special artwork to help victims of the Ukraine invasion.

You can donate to the Red Cross here to help those affected by the conflict, or in a variety of other ways through Choose Love.
