Marvel Studios has always had a habit of relying on a core group of writers to work on multiple projects, but post-reception Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumaniathere are a lot of people out there who don’t want Jeff Loveness to be one of them.

Although the first two installments of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s smallest stand-alone franchise featured nine writers in total – with lead actor Paul Rudd being the only writer to be credited with both – that whittled down to just one for the recently released threequel hasn’t worked wonders.

In fact, Loveness’ plump and exposure-heavy screenplay is for Quantumania has torpedoed the excitement for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty to many just due to his involvement, but things could get a whole lot worse if Kevin Feige gets wind of director Peyton Reed collider revealing this Rick and Morty The staffer is a huge fan of the X-Men when asked if he’d be interested in tackling another MCU item.

“Yes, I think so, I mean, it would have to be the right thing. I am not a X-Men Guy. Jeff Loveness, he’s a X-Men Guy. I love the X-Men, I love to watch X-Men movies. I don’t want to do any X-Men Movie. That’s what’s great about Marvel, because there’s this infinity… The ones that are interesting to me now tend to be the lesser ones. I mean, Ant-Man back then – we knew Ant-Man, he was a founding member of the Avengers, but in terms of public consciousness he was probably a B-level, maybe a C-level character. Who knows, it depends on your point of view. I love that about him.”

If Michael Waldron can walk Loki To Secret Wars above Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnesswith loveness another Rick and Morty alum handed in two big projects in quick succession, there’s always a chance he could try to use his fandom to land the X-Men gig. Consider how Quantumania‘s script has been applauded, we hope not.
