The new “World of Color – One” coming to Disney California Adventure will use a virtual queuing system that is optional but essential for any visitor wanting to secure a prime seat to see the new water show, the 100th… celebrating years of Disney animation.

Now, as with many things at Disneyland, you need to have your smartphone handy and your itchy trigger finger ready if you want to snag a coveted virtual queue spot for the new World of Color show.
You have one or two chances per day to secure a place in the virtual queue for “World of Color – One” – depending on whether there are one or two shows each night. But you’ll need to move fast and make sure you’re ready to lunge as soon as the starting gun goes off.
Virtual queue slots will be distributed daily via the Disneyland app starting at noon. On nights with multiple show times, virtual queue spots for the second show will be distributed immediately after distribution for the first show is complete.

“World of Color – One” will be presented from January 27th to 29th and the first two weekends in February at 9:00 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. Weekday performances usually have a 9pm performance – but not always. The show on Wednesday February 1st is at 7:30pm and on Valentine’s Day there are two shows on Tuesday February 14th.

It’s free to join the World of Color – One virtual queue provided you have a ticket and reservation for Disney California Adventure or a Disneyland Parkhopper ticket.
Magic Key Annual Pass holders with a Disneyland or DCA reservation should be able to join the virtual queue at noon before park hopping begins at 1 p.m. each day.
Day visitors and pass holders must enter DCA or Disneyland to join the World of Color virtual queue.

If history repeats itself, World of Color’s virtual queue spots could be gone in a matter of seconds if you’re not willing to pounce on a countdown clock counting down the seconds until noon.
Seasoned Disneylanders know the drill all too well — they’ve been through it before with Rise of the Resistance and Web Slingers’ virtual queues tied to daily start times.

Lucky visitors who win the daily World of Color lottery will be assigned to the blue or yellow viewing areas for the show via the Disneyland app.
You’ll need to show up early if you want to be near the water in the You May Get Wet section. Disneyland recommends arriving 30 to 45 minutes before the start of the show.
Walk-in viewing areas are available for those who lose the World of Color lottery or forgot to enter the daily sweepstakes. First Served Basis.

The backstory for the new water show celebrates the journey of a single drop of water creating a wave and eventually growing into a wave of change.
