DeKalb County crash hospitalizes 1; Fog suspected as a factor: police

DEKALB COUNTY, Indiana (WANE) — A crash Thursday morning in DeKalb County sent a passenger to the hospital for complaints of knee and neck pain, according to police.

According to police, Cathy Brooks, 52, was traveling westbound on County Road 68 at around 8:40 a.m., approaching the intersection of County Roads 68 and 35.

According to police, Brooks said she pulled over at the intersection and did not see the other vehicle, driven by 50-year-old Jennifer Reschly, traveling northbound on County Road 35, which resulted in the two vehicles colliding the intersection collided after Brooks drove off again.

Both cars sustained severe front-end damage, and a passenger in Reschly’s vehicle, 67-year-old Sue Weaver, was taken to a hospital for medical treatment, according to police.

The two drivers suffered no injuries in the crash.

According to the police, dense fog is said to have been a cause of the crash.
