What’s up, peloton? Ready to dig some dirt on the company and its supposedly hostile work environment? A $1.8 million lawsuit was filed Wednesday Daniel “Irish Yank” McKenna claims his employment was terminated “abruptly” on September 11 “for good cause,” though that reason remains elusive. “McKenna repeatedly requested that Peloton provide written evidence for its termination, and no detailed, descriptive and/or factual explanation was provided,” its complaint reads.

The daily beast reported about and uploaded a copy McKenna’s complaint. The allegations contained therein are extensive and far-reaching. McKenna, who was hired by the company in December 2020, claims to be Peloton’s chief content officer Jennifer Cotter (named alongside the company as a defendant) “constantly referred to the plaintiff’s Irish ethnicity and stereotypes and nonchalantly asked the plaintiff at the meeting if he was drunk at work.” The lawsuit alleges that Cotter said things to McKenna such as ” Behave yourself”, “Don’t be silly” and “Nobody understands what you’re saying Daniel”, which refers to his Irish accent. During a meeting attended by Peloton’s CEO Barry McCarthyMcKenna claims Cotter said, “I hope you’re not drunk Daniel” and “This is Daniel our Irish teacher, he’s rough and hard to understand but the members love him.” This has reportedly McKenna’s psyche devastated:

After the meeting, unsurprisingly, the plaintiff’s extreme fear, humiliation and embarrassment increased. His mental and emotional health was affected by the demeaning remarks and the passive-aggressive attitude towards him.

He also claims he applied for a “legally available Therapeutic Use Exemption” for the company’s Covid vaccine mandate following an unexpected surgery in October 2021, which was turned down. “Mr. McKenna became distraught and tense, leading to his succumbing to taking the vaccine (despite the option for a valid Therapeutic Use Exemption) for fear of disrupting his career and/or employment at Peloton,” the suit says poor, vaccinated man. In addition, earlier this year, a fitness-related chest injury prompted him to take a medical leave, which Cotter said his suit could be used as grounds for his termination. “They told the plaintiff that it was for the Plaintiff was ‘not good looking’ and should be fired because it is not acceptable in ‘corporate America’ to take time off due to injuries and surgeries.”

Cotter, says McKenna’s suit, strikes fear into the hearts of Peloton instructors because “she had/has the power to reduce her classes, play favourites, commercials and placements with prestigious sports equipment and apparel companies and create a pervasive atmosphere of hostility.” . ”

Because of her “snide and derogatory comments,” McKenna “hired a mental health professional to reduce his stress, humiliation, anxiety and insomnia.” He turned down the offered six-month severance package after his resignation, which was $130,000, meaning his annual salary was $260,000! Instead, he wants $500,000 for “back payment, prepayment, and all benefits along with pre- and post-judgment interest,” $300,000 for pain and suffering, and $1,000,000 for “injuries he sustained and to signal other employers that discrimination is repugnant.” Peloton has yet to comment.

Speaking of anti-vax vibes, musicians MIA tweeted a conspiratorial one-two punch by effectively defending himself Alex Jones—who almost owes after a Wednesday verdict by a judge 1 billion dollars to the families of the Sandy Hook victims he slandered – and denigrated vaccines.

And then it doubled.
