But surprisingly, after 16 years on the network, Dancing With The Stars is getting a new home: Disney Plus. Per meetingThe series was picked up by the Disney streamer for seasons 31 and 32 and premiered on Disney Plus this fall. meeting reports that too Dancing with the stars will be “said to be the first live-streamed reality show in the US” with its move to Disney Plus.
While there’s bad news for those watching Dancing with the stars and doesn’t have a Disney Plus login, there’s good news for those who wanted more football. An additional exclusive Monday Night Football game will be broadcast during this time slot. as part of ESPN’s deal with ABC.
ABC shared a statement on the decision, writing, “After over 30 seasons of the program on ABC, including two spin-offs, Dancing with the stars will be moving away from ABC this fall so the network can showcase several Football on Monday night games, as well as developing and investing in new and future programs.”
This news also comes after a source told The sun that producers were concerned about the show’s low ratings last year. The anonymous source close to the production said: “Sure headline makers are there but it hasn’t won over the public yet. Sometimes these things take time, and sometimes the participants don’t resonate or connect with the audience.”
