In the best casting decision in television history, Alison Hammond will join Great British Bake Off Tent.
The takeover from outgoing host Matt Lucas, the This morning The presenter will serve as co-host alongside comedian Noel Fielding for the upcoming season.
Hammond confirmed the news with a video showing a miniature baking Tent with fondant versions of herself, Fielding, Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood.
“Alison, do you have any words?” Hammond asked her fondant self in the video.
“You know what, I’m just blown away,” Mini Hammond replied. “I will meet the bakers very soon. I’m so excited.”
The upcoming season will not be Hammond’s first time on the baking Rodeo – she previously took part in the show’s celebrity special ‘Stand Up 2 Cancer’.
Her episode featured a very memorable moment when the This morning The hostess put her baked goods in the oven and thought she lost the retractable door. That alone was enough for fans to rave about her joining the show full-time.

Alison Hammond comes in baking following the departure of Matt Lucas, who was a co-host for three seasons.
