Deputies arrested Sharon Angela Cooper, 57, on felony charges of harming a child after her foster son came to school and told a school counselor he was being assaulted by Cooper, officials said.
There was a review of the victim’s injuries, and officers also viewed video of the alleged incident prior to Cooper’s arrest.
According to Pct. 5 MPs, Cooper had four other foster children at her home in the Cypress area.
Child protection services have since removed all five children from their care.
Prosecution documents state that Cooper poses a danger to the child; hence the judge denied low bail.
Records show Cooper posted $7,500 bail and is expected to appear in court on Monday, October 10.
