Sunday: Pittsburgh Steelers (+12.5) overtake KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

I certainly understand the high disparity: The Chiefs have won nine of their past 10 games and beat the Steelers, 36-10, just three weeks ago, easily becoming a 10-point home contender. What keeps this line under two touchdowns is probably the fact that the Captains didn’t always cover when they won (6-4 ATS on the last run). Few expected the Steelers to be here, and they can play loose when the Chiefs are under all sorts of pressure. The Chiefs’ defense, hailed as having changed their season, has given way 34 points to the Bengals and 24 to the Broncos led by Drew Lock over the past two weeks, so we hope Ben Roethlisberger can keep his hold. Steelers close. Patrick Mahomes and the captains should be content to walk away with a SU win (however, let’s see if the Steelers can deliver more passes this time).

Monday: Arizona Cardinals (+4) on LOS ANGELES RAMS

Each team won outright underdogs in two regular meetings of the season, and the Cardinals unwittingly benefited themselves by losing to the Seahawks on Sunday, when they were 8-1 on the road and only 3-5 at home. (Note: The Rams are only 5-3 at home and 7-2 in lane, so we don’t see too much of a home advantage here if any). The problem with the Cardinals is that they haven’t played as well as they did when they beat the Rams, 37-20, at SoFi Stadium in Week 4. The Rams won four in a row before losing to the 49ers on Sunday, but they had problems of his own, most notably QB Matthew Stafford breaking the ball eight times in the past three games. Making more than one goal on the field with the dog of the direct line is clearly a game.

Last week: 2-0. Jaguar (W), Texas (W)
Season: 22-14
