blank

One of the biggest weeks on the racing calendar comes to an end after fans enjoyed the Cheltenham Festival and all the gritty atmosphere that it brings.

Last year Minella Indo won the Gold Cup with jockey Jack Kennedy, a 9/1 pre-race reputation with favorite Al Boum Photo coming home third. Rachael Blackmore also achieved notable successes, first on Honeysuckle in the Champion Hurdle and later on Quilixios in the Triumph Hurdle.

These were two of six victories won by the Irish jockey over the weekend, while earning her the Ruby Walsh Trophy in outstanding performance and becoming the first female jockey to do so.

Blackmore will compete again on Honeysuckle in this year’s Champion Hurdle on Tuesday while Minella Indo will attempt to win back-to-back Gold Cups on Friday.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the 2022 Cheltenham Festival.
