The Blues and Reds played another boring drab goalless draw tonight.

Incredibly, this was the FOURTH consecutive time that neither side has found the net since that thrilling 2-2 draw in January 2022.

Both the League Cup and FA Cup finals were stalemates last season – Liverpool twice won on penalties at Wembley.

And January’s Premier League second leg at Anfield didn’t result in a goal before the same result came again in west London.

Opta confirmed this is the third time two top-flight clubs have drawn 0-0 in four consecutive encounters.

It also happened between Everton and Liverpool in 1974-1975 and then with Arsenal and QPR in 1992-94.

However, none of the other games went into overtime.
