Celtic’s final defeat has Nicolas Raskin chasing Rangers medals

The Belgian suffered a heartbreaking defeat in his first old firm game when Michael Beale’s side missed their shot at the title last month.

The final defeat was a hard blow for Beale and his players as Celtic are now close to the Premiership crown and have their sights set on a clean win in the Trophies this season.

Rangers host Championship outfit Raith Rovers on Sunday with a goal of securing a place in the last four and taking another step in their defense of their Scottish Cup title.

And former Standard Liège star Raskin, who suffered from cup woes at home after losing the Belgian Cup final to Genk three years ago, is motivated to clinch a winners’ medal this time around.

Raskin said: “At Rangers we have to win every year. We must return to Hampden and take it home with us now.

“That’s why I came here, because as a footballer it’s important to win a cup together. At the moment I’ve lost two cup finals, so I want to make sure we win the third one and then win more and more.” and more. That’s why I came here and that’s the most important thing.

“After that I was so sad because I didn’t like the feeling that when you lose you watch the other team celebrate and make you feel bad, but at the same time it gives you the strength to come back and then just next time think about what happened and give more so we don’t have the same feeling after the game.

“I think we were on the pitch when they (Celtic) were celebrating with the fans when they made the noise.
