Celebrity Hunted viewers are blowing the show as a ‘complete set-up’ as the duo let This Morning co-stars hide in their home

VIEWERS of Channel 4’s Celebrity Hunted have attacked Channel 4 bosses as they raged over the show being a “complete set-up” in its final episode.
The reality program to benefit Stand Up to Cancer features famous-face couples on the run over a 14-day period, but fans aren’t convinced all the action on the show is real.

Fans were quick to brand the latest episode “staged” after one scene featured two separated couples helping each other without having been in touch.
That morning, regulars Nik and Eva Speakman showed up to leave comedians James Acaster and Ed Gamble to use their Rochdale mansion as lodging to escape the hunters’ watchful eyes.
The comedy boys were helped into Nik and Eva’s impressive home by the couple’s children, Olivia and Hunter, who were keen to help the stars as well as their parents.
The plan quickly fell through as they correctly assumed the hunters would be on to them, having previously obtained the speaker’s security camera footage after receiving their mobile phones.
This then forced the duo to move on without being given the option of staying the night, leaving Olivia with no choice but to run them off the premises and drop them off at a nearby pub.
Olivia had previously acted as a getaway driver for her mother and father when they returned to her home in the previous episode.
Although they claimed Nik and Eva gave them permission to use their home when they met in the series’ fictional prison, Nik and Eva neglected to mention this and the address of their home never appeared with James and Ed the screen to be shared .
The episode had viewers screaming that the show was “set up” as they begged Channel 4 bosses to be less predictable.
One angry fan wrote online: “This is now getting predictable, staged and thoroughly stupid.
“We’re not idiots, so if you see negative numbers/donations, it’s your own fault. bye.”
Another added: “#celebrityhunted is even more scripted than fake regular hunted.”
A third wrote: “It’s like they don’t even try to hide the fact that #celebrityhunted is a complete setup.”
A fourth explained: “This is so staged it would be pretty damn easy to hide from those hunters for a few days and not get caught. Britain is a big place ffs.”
