Cathedral City’s Hot Air Balloon Festival returns with food, music and rides – Orange County Register

Agua Caliente Casinos kicks off the annual Hot Air Balloon Festival with food, live music and more. The celebration will take place from Friday 18th November to Sunday 20th November.

Hot air balloon ride tickets cost $210, and passengers planning a ride should arrive by 6 a.m. to prepare for departure. The Friday and Sunday flight departs at 6:30am from Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage. The Saturday flight departs from The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa at 6:30 am. Spectators are welcome to watch the balloons take off from the venue’s lawn for free.

Three-day VIP admission to the festival’s live music and food truck event at Cathedral City Community Amphitheater is $100. It includes access to the entire festival for the weekend. The Friday festival runs from 4pm to 9pm and features food trucks, beer and vineyards, captive balloon rides from 5pm to 8pm and live music with Pink Floyd tribute band Continuous Signal. On Saturday, the gastronomic offer of the festival will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will also have a beer and wine garden available. Also on Saturday night is a car show, live music by The Dreamboats and a glowing balloon show.

Saturday balloon rides are offered at the Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa from 7:00 am to 9:00 am and on the Cathedral City Community Amphitheater lawn from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. On Sundays, Big League Little Dreams Cathedral City hosts a pancake breakfast and balloon rides from 7-10 a.m. Balloon rides are $25 for adults and $20 for children and passes are sold at each venue.

Agua Caliente Casinos has three properties in total: Agua Caliente Casino Cathedral City, Agua Caliente Casino Spa Rancho Mirage and Agua Caliente in Palm Springs.
