Captain Marvel 2 Star Reveals How WandaVision Affects The Sequel

One of the more dynamic projects in the Phase 5 pipeline is the upcoming one The wonders. Weaving the story of Ms. Marvel with the journeys of previously known Monica Rambeau and Captain Marvel, the film has a lot to offer.

During a group interview with the cast and director of The wonders In an Entertainment Weekly program, actress Teyonah Parris spoke to Monica Rambeau about the emotional wounds that opened up WandaVision.

“While Carol and Monica need to find their relationship again after all this time, we have Ms. Marvel, who adores Carol as much as Monica used to when she was younger. So these two adults need to reconcile their relationship, while this younger person also has a relationship that reflects the way Monica and Carol used to be together. So I think it’s really interesting to see them together and how they become a bit of a sisterhood with their own different perspectives. It’s really nice and funny and very sweet to watch them work.”

The complicated emotions at play in The Marvels

This insight from the team behind it The wonders hints at a nuanced and emotionally rich project, one that deals with the injuries caused by Captain Marvel’s long-term absence from Earth.
