Bulls unveil 2022-2023 City Edition kits

CHICAGO — One of the most anticipated releases during a season for an NBA team is their “City Edition” jerseys, which they will wear for a handful of games.

On Thursday, Bulls fans were able to see the ones their team will be wearing during the 2022-2023 season.

The team unveiled their City Edition kits at 9am on Thursday along with the dates they will be wearing them over the next few months.

Like several other versions of these jerseys, the 2022-2023 version pays homage to Chicago’s architecture, with the urban ‘Y’ serving as inspiration for much of the uniform.

  • The pattern on the shirt is inspired by the municipal “Y”.
  • The rusty red color represents downtown Chicago’s bridges that span the Chicago River.
  • On the sides of the jersey and shorts is a municipal “Y” with two sets of five red lines representing the number of players on each side of the court, with the junction at the bottom of the shorts representing the division of the Chicago River.
  • There is a Bulls logo on the side of the shorts
  • The front of the shorts features a “C” logo with the urban “Y”.

This is the first time since 2016 that the City Edition kits are white.

Here are the dates when the kits will be worn in the 2022-2023 season:

  • November 18 vs. Magic
  • December 10 against Mavericks
  • January 13 against thunder
  • February 24 against nets
  • March 3 vs. Suns
  • April 9 vs. Pistons
