Bryan Cranston is ready for a Malcolm in the Middle movie, on one condition

Before Bryan Cranston became one of the most famous actors in television history for his portrayal of Walter White in the critically acclaimed drug drama Breaking Bad, He brought the silly Hal, the father of the, to life Malcolm in the middle Family.

While Cranston has since moved on to bigger and better things, the Your Honor star is absolutely open to a return to his earlier days in a Malcolm in the middle Film as long as the script presented to it is a good idea.

Speaking to The Independent, Cranston revealed he’s been in talks with him Malcolm in the Middle Creator, Linwood Boomer, who assembled his writing team to see if they could develop a film based on the Fox comedy series that ended in 2006:

“He said he’d think about it, and he got his writers together. If they come up with a great idea, a legitimate idea, he will pursue it. But if not, then no. “I don’t need a job. I have many jobs. I don’t need it, but I would want it if it was a great idea.”

We’d love nothing more than to see the dysfunctional TV reunited with the grown children, with Hal and Lois perhaps taking on the roles of grandparents to Malcolm, Francis, Reese and Dewey’s own Rugrats. Here’s hoping Boomer comes up with a solid idea to bring Cranston and the rest of the cast on board.
