William Hill – Masters 2022: McIlroy, Rahm or Spieth win @ 60/1*

The Masters begins Thursday, April 7 through Sunday, April 10 at the Augusta National Gold Club in Georgia.

Hideki Matsuyama won the Masters last year, his first major title, and is available at 35/1 to defend his crown.

Tiger Woods is around 45/1 with most bookies and with Sky Bet offering 11 spots in each-way betting, many will be hoping Woods can make a great comeback in 2021 after his car accident.

He won it at great odds of around 14/1 in 2019 before Dustin Johnson justified the favoritism in 2020 by earning the green jacket at single digit odds.

Matsuyama won by a whopping 45/1, showing the winning potential on Augusta’s famous course.

Best bets for The Masters 2022

Justin Thomas on 1.11

Anyone who first saw Thomas at The Players Championship will be amazed to learn that this guy only has one major to his name.

And given his remarkable form this season, it’s also hard to believe the world number seven won’t win on the PGA Tour just yet this season.

But once he sorts out the putter, Thomas is ready to explode. Everything else is set for the 2022 Masters and a practice session with five-time winner Tiger Woods can only help.

Thomas finished fourth in 2020, hasn’t finished outside the top 22 since 2017 – and has the shot-forming ability to succeed in Augusta.

Rory McIlroy on 16.1

It’s one of the great mysteries of golf, when will Rory complete his Grand Slam career?

McIlroy has won four major titles, but his last came back in 2014.

While much has been said and written about the Northern Irishman at golf’s biggest events since then, he has yet to add to his tally and claim what he really wants – a green jacket.

McIlroy suffered a shocking collapse in Augusta in 2011 and missed the cut last year.

But he’s had six top tens in Georgia and his recent good form suggests 2022 could finally be his year.

Viktor Hovland on 18.1

One of golf’s brightest young stars and someone who is surely destined for stardom soon.

Despite being just 24 years old, Hovland has six professional wins under his belt and is currently one of the most consistent players in the game.

He won the Silver Cup as a low amateur at the 2019 Masters but has yet to do his best on the Major stage.

Hovland finished second at Arnold Palmer and ninth at The Players, suggesting another big win could be just around the corner.

Matt Fitzpatrick at 40/1

The Englishman, currently ranked 24th in the world, doesn’t appear to be popular with some bookmakers going as high as 50/1.

But this is a man who’s leading the field in shots this season, making him one of the hottest players on form statistically.

Without winning, Fitzpatrick has secured four top-ten finishes on the PGA Tour this season — and a tied seventh place finish at the 2016 Masters suggests he can perform in Augusta, making him an excellent value by any measure power.

The only weakness in his game right now is his inability to convert strong performances into wins and despite seven DP World Tour wins, he’s still missing that first triumph in America.

Players looking for a wide variety of place money outside bets can do much worse than Joaquin Niemann (45/1), Shane Lowry (35/1) and Tyrrell Hatton (40/1), all of whom have the quality to make this major to win.
