Benfica: Lucas Verissimo and Rodrigo Pinho remain injured while Adel Taarabt is the latest injury although it’s not clear what kind of blow he picked up. But the side come in with a day more rest after playing on Friday, although that was a poor performance in a 3-2 defeat in Braga. After the title race in Portugal, they can now focus on UCL and look for another upset. In addition, the budding superstar striker Darwin Nunez must deliver. He has scored 27 goals in 34 games this season.

Liverpool: The Reds go into the game healthy and hungry, especially after a poor performance at the weekend. A 2-0 win over Watford on Saturday was pretty shaky and that could mean bad news for Benfica as Liverpool look to get back on top form. Sadio Mane came off the bench for Mohamed Salah in that game and with neither reaching the full 90 in that game, both are expected to be here. Expect Liverpool to have enough chances to score multiple goals and finish this one after the first leg.
