Baytown Police Shootout: Officers shoot and kill man suspected of opening fire on 4 people, killing one of them

BAYTOWN, Texas (KTRK) — Baytown police officers shot dead a suspect who they believe shot dead four people in two locations 10 miles apart Wednesday night. One of the people shot by the suspect died.
At around 6:30 p.m., police responded to a call from two people, a man and a woman, who had been shot on Tri City Beach Road near Evergreen Road.
The man died at the scene of the crime. The woman survived and is expected to be fine.
Baytown Police then received a second call from a shooting at the Bay Oaks harbor where another man and woman were shot dead. The man was flown to the hospital in critical condition. The injuries to the second woman were not life-threatening.
Shortly after, officers said the suspect returned to the first scene at Tri City Beach Road and confronted her.
The officers shot and killed the suspect.
Police believe the suspect shot all four people.
No officers were injured.
The investigations are ongoing.
