Battle Creek Police are investigating two deaths

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) – Battle Creek police are investigating after two people died Saturday.

First responders were called to a home in the South Minges Road area around 2:35 p.m. Saturday, the city of Battle Creek said in a news release Sunday.

A woman and someone described as an “underage young man” did not respond, the city said. First responders were said to be attempting life-saving measures but were unsuccessful.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene, officials say.

The police are investigating.

“At this time there is no cause for concern or concern for the safety of the Battle Creek community,” the city said.
