Bass Road section closed until December 2023

FORT WAYNE, Indiana (WANE) – A section of Bass Road involved in a multi-year road improvement project will be closed to traffic Monday, October 17, according to the Allen County Highway Department.

The section between Scott Road and Hadley Road will be closed until December 2023 for bridge construction.

The bridge construction is part of a multi-million dollar expansion of Bass Road from Hillegas Road in the east to Scott Road in the west. So far, roundabouts have been added at several intersections, as well as turn lanes, new curbs, and other improvements.

Part of the project is also a path that will connect several neighborhoods.
