Babylon’s Fall developers say the game is not in danger

Square Enix’s Babylon’s fall was released earlier this month with little fanfare, prompting the developers to reassure fans that the game would receive continuous updates.

A tweet from the official Babylon’s fall Twitter shared an image that asked the question, “Is continued service in jeopardy?”

Square Enix said: “No, there are no plans to further reduce the scope of development Babylon’s fall. The content leading up to the end of Season 2 is now practically complete and we have started work on Season 3 and beyond.

“We will continue to bring new content to the game and make improvements based on player feedback to keep existing players playing and attract newcomers.”

The post continued, “We want to thank all of the Sentinels who are already enjoying the world of Babylon’s fallas we look forward to welcoming more of you in the future.”

To help Square Enix resolve issues with the game, the company released a poll asking fans for feedback on the graphical qualities of Babylon’s fall. It seems that further feedback in this style is likely as the team looks to increase player counts.

More details on upcoming content were also shared, including a crossover with Nier: Automata that takes place on March 27th.

The day Babylon’s fall It launched on Steam but failed to exceed 1,200 concurrent players and capped at 1,179. Currently the game has 238 players in the game according to SteamDB. In comparison, this is heavily criticized Battlefield 2042 has 2,412 players in the game.

Babylon’s fall was originally announced at E3 2018 before experiencing multiple delays. In 2020, the studio had to reassure fans that it was indeed still in development.

In other news, Amazon Games Studios has shared a developer roundtable for the MMO New world. Details on upcoming content were shared, including new weapons and expeditions that would be coming to the game over the next few months.
