Zinchenko’s unusual proposal

Arsenal ace Oleksandr Zinchenko proposed to his wife Vlada Sedan in a unique way.

The Ukrainian admits there was little romance as he was in his boxers at 4am when he popped the question.

Zinchenko told www.FootballersLives.tv: “The way I have proposed is the worst of all proposals – it’s impossible, it’s so shameful.”

He joked: “I’m Brad Pitt of Ukraine and I’m in my boxers – great body too.

“Honestly, I will regret my proposal for the rest of my life – worst of all – it’s unbelievable.

“What happened was that we had a game against Portugal at home, qualifying for the Euros. I wanted to propose. I knew Vlada would work on that game [she is a sports reporter].

“But I knew from a young age that before you propose to your favorite wife, you have to ask her parents for permission. Not on the phone but face to face. It was so difficult to find some time.

“Instead, I did it at her apartment around 4am or 3am that night, just in boxer shorts, almost naked.

“I would like to offer advice to anyone planning to propose, please don’t do it my way. I went insane then. I went outside for a while and bought a lot of flowers for her that morning.

“Why did I do it in the apartment and not somewhere else? It’s not the most important thing, but it’s important for the memory.”
