Apple outage affects Music, Maps, iTunes Store and more

FRESNO, California (KSEE/KGPE) – Apple users may face issues with multiple products Monday after the company reported a widespread outage around 10:30am PST.

Affected products include Apple Music, the App Store, Apple Arcade, Apple Business Manager, Apple School Manager, Apple TV+, iTunes Store, Podcasts, Radio, and multiple iCloud services.

Apple’s status page shows 23 outages at 11:19 am PST Monday, more than an hour after the first reports of problems.

Accordingly down detectora website that tracks reports of online outages, users began reporting the outage at around 9:29 am PST.

iCloud users reported errors with Mail, Calendar and Contacts, among others. A number of iPhone users tweeted about issues affecting iMessage, but as of 11:00 a.m. Apple reported that it was working normally.

Apple warns users about “slow or unavailable” services in many cases, but doesn’t say what’s behind the problem.

Bloomberg reports that the outage affected Apple’s internal corporate and retail systems, temporarily disrupting product repairs and other services at Apple Stores. as well as communication between the employees of the company.

Apple did not immediately respond to Nexstar’s request for comment on the cause of the outage.
