While Dortmund were a little miffed at the decision to let Kai Havertz retake his penalty for the crucial goal, the west Londoners were more concerned about the win.

While the spectators on the pitch celebrated, it was also the Chelsea admin team who took great pride in guiding their side to victory after being hit by a pint in the first leg in Germany.

After Karim Adeyemi gave Dortmund the lead, the Blues’ social media team was delayed in sharing the goal after the home side’s celebrations got a little out of hand.

While being hit by the beer was harmless, the Premier League side were keen to ensure they enjoyed drinks on Tuesday night.

After the tie was finished and dusted, Chelsea took to social media with a message that read: “Anyone for a beer?”

Many fans will have enjoyed a drink or two after the clash, as did the club’s owner, Todd Boehly.

With a place in the last eight now confirmed, one can only imagine how many beers will be poured if Chelsea manage to make it all the way to the Ataturk Olympic Stadium for June’s flagship event in Istanbul.
