Anthony Joshua reveals Usyk has pulled out of Fury negotiations after reading key details in Gypsy King’s own BOOK

ANTHONY JOSHUA has revealed that Oleksandr Usyk called off negotiations with Tyson Fury after reading his book.

Usyk was due to face Fury later this month in what is arguably the greatest heavyweight fight of all time.

He had originally agreed to all the terms set by the Gypsy King – including a 70-30 split of the purse in favor of the ‘greedy’ Fury – but talks collapsed at the end of March.

And former heavyweight champion Joshua has hinted that Usyk quit after reading Fury’s book.

AJ told Boxing Social: “Usyk said he reads Fury’s book and he said that delaying negotiations was part of his (Fury’s) tactics.

“When he read that, he thought, ‘I’m done with these negotiations.’

“Of course, when you know someone, not just physically, you’re going to fight them, so you learn their craft.

“But you know them mentally – why do you play into their games?

“Usyk had these negotiations. I don’t play those games anymore.”

Usyk’s agent Egis Klimas claimed that Fury was solely to blame for the failure of the negotiations.

In March he said: “No matter how much Usyk compromised, he was pushed for more.”

The Ukrainian is now planning a mandatory defense of his belts for the summer.
