SKY customers are just realizing a remote control trick that allows your TV to talk to you.
The spoken navigation guidance was initially designed for people with visual impairments.

But it may come in handy for others who are unsure how to perform an action on their remote, e.g. B. Access to a specific menu.
The feature speaks on-screen elements while navigating Sky Q, Sky Glass and Sky Stream with the remote control.
Voice guidance is available for Sky Menus, Rails, Grids, TV Guide and Mini TV Guide, Show Pages, Voice Search and On-Screen Messages.
However, it’s not yet available on apps like Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime.
There are two ways to turn on voice guidance, either: use your voice remote or say “Hello Sky…” on Sky Glass, or turn it on from the accessibility menu.
However, it should be noted that your Sky box must be connected to broadband in order to use voice guidance.
“If you’re new to voice guidance, we recommend leaving the hints on,” Sky said.
“Once you’ve become familiar with your Sky Q box, Sky Glass or Sky Stream, you may want to switch to ‘Without Notices’.
For example, if you have hints enabled, the TV will tell you how to press on the remote control.
If the hints are activated, the TV will tell you: “All channels, press up, down, left or right to navigate through the TV guide.”
Without any hints, the TV simply says: “All channels”.
If the voice guidance feature is on but not working, Sky experts have recommended checking that your broadband is working and your Sky Q-Box, Sky Glass or Sky Stream is connected.
If it has been disconnected or has recently been disconnected, try power cycling your Sky Q box, Sky Glass TV or Sky Stream puck to try reconnecting with voice guidance.
