Agua Caliente Casino Cathedral City celebrates its second birthday with a big party.

The Cathedral City property is hosting a free event featuring food, raffles, games, prizes and performances by Liquid Blue. It takes place at the Agave Caliente Terazza, the casino’s outdoor venue, and begins at 7pm on Saturday, November 26th.

Agua Caliente Cathedral City is the third property of the Agua Caliente gang of Cahuilla Indians and the first tribe to operate three casino properties in the Coachella Valley. Agua Caliente Casino Palm Springs is the oldest property in the heart of downtown and has been a local favorite for decades. Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage offers a resort experience with a grand hotel tower, spa and large showroom that will host a cast of comedians like Jerry Seinfeld, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Daniel Tosh and Jay Leno in 2023.

The Cathedral City property opened on November 24, 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic that delayed the opening of Agave Caliente Terazza. The outdoor venue eventually opened in April 2021 and became a centerpiece of the casino, offering a niche entertainment program with community events such as ice rinks for The Fourth of July and an OktoBEER festival.

The casino also hosts weekly events, including yoga, cornhole, and Latin music nights. Over the summer, the cathedral city hosted eSports After Dark, a series of video game tournaments. The next big entertainment show on the Agave Caliente Terazza is a New Year’s Eve party with DJ Alf Alpha.
