Abbott remembers a liquid formula because of seal problems

UNDATED (WOOD) – Abbott Nutrition has recalled certain ready-to-eat liquid baby foods due to an issue with the seals on the caps.
That recall announced Friday is unrelated to the previous milk powder recall, which contributed to a nationwide shortage.
The problem, Abbott said in a press release, is that some of the bottles have caps that may not be fully sealed, so they could spoil and cause illness.
Affected are certain 2 fluid ounce bottles of Similac Total Pro Comfort, Similac 360 Total Care, Similac 360 Total Care Sensitive, Similac Special Care 24, Similac Stage 1, Similac NeoSure, Similac Water (sterilized), and Pedialyt Electrolyte Solution. Most were sent to doctor’s offices and hospitals. you can go to SimilacRecall.com to find the exact batch numbers.
If you have a recalled bottle, do not use it. If your child is sick, call a doctor.
The products were manufactured at Abbott’s facility in Columbus, Ohio.
