A914 crash: teenager ‘seriously’ injured in collision in Fife

Officers were called to the A914 near the Forgan roundabout at 6.50pm on Friday after reports of a crash involving a mad Peugeot 207 and a white VW Polo.

The 14-year-old, who was a passenger in the Peugeot, was taken to Ninewells Hospital.

The 18-year-old driver of the car was also taken to the same hospital with serious injuries.

The 35-year-old driver of the other vehicle did not require hospital treatment.

Police closed the road to allow the investigation, reopened at 2am and are now asking witnesses to come forward.

“Our investigation is ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the crash and we are appealing for witnesses,” said Sergeant Paul Ewing.

“If you were in the area at the time and saw what happened, please get in touch with us as your information may be important.

“If you were also behind the wheel and have dashcam footage that may assist in our investigation, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
