A85: Motorcyclist killed in accident with lorry in Argyll

The incident, which involved a Volvo truck and a black Yamaha motorcycle, happened around 2.30pm on Wednesday half a mile west of Dalmally.

Emergency services arrived and the male rider of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed for around six hours while a full collision investigation was carried out and reopened around 9pm.

Sergeant Archie McGuire, from Argyll and West Dunbartonshire Road Policing, said: “Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

“I urge anyone who has seen any of the vehicles and has not spoken to officers to get in touch.

“I would also urge anyone who was in the area at the time of the accident who might have dash cam footage that might be helpful to get in touch.”
