A PLACE in the Sun’s Jasmine dazzles fans with her new hair as she reveals her secret battle with brillo pad curls.

The TV presenter took to Instagram to give her 124,000 followers an update on what she’s been up to lately.

Jasmine, 48, shared a video of herself showing fans the condition of her hair before she had a hair makeover.

In the video, she explained that her hair had previously been damaged by heat and sun, and that “drying hair naturally” caused the front section of her hair to turn into a “brillo pad.”

She began: I’m going to the hairdresser today! Due to many factors I think this is probably to do with the sun, heat styling and naturally dry hair, hair dye etc.

“I have part of my hair, as you can see, it’s literally been turned into wire wool. So the challenge for my barber will be if he can do something about it, a treatment or we have to cut him from around here.”

She then took fans into the salon and filmed herself getting her hair cut and blow-dried.

“I got to keep my hair! I literally thought I was going to end up with a mullet, so I had to get shorter layers here, cut off all the damage, and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out,” Jasmine revealed of her new hair transformation the fans as she smiled for the camera.

The Channel 4 presenter wrote: “Whether it was heat styling, sun damage, age or anything else, this section of my hair basically turned into a Brillo pad!

She continued, “Will my hairstylist save the day or will I end up with a shorter style? Do you think short hair suits me?”

Fans thought Jasmine looked “beautiful,” with many raving about her new hairdo in the comments.
