CHICAGO (WLS) — Eight more exculpatory cases will appear on a Cook County Court record Monday involving former Chicago Police Sgt. Ronald Watts.

So far, more than 200 convictions related to Watts have been overturned since one of his team members was jailed for corruption.

“It’s a shame that where we’re from nobody would listen and believe us,” said Clarissa Glenn, who was wrongly convicted of drug offenses.

A recent report from the City of Chicago’s Civilian Office of Police Accountability a devastating report Acknowledging corruption and recommending the dismissal of an officer who worked under Watts.

The defendants in Monday’s hearings will appear via Zoom.

A lawyer from the “Relief Project” will appear in person.

While Watts and one other officer were convicted, others of his crew remain with the police.
