3 people shot at Ontario motel, no arrests made

Ontario Police are investigating a shooting that left several people hospitalized on Friday afternoon.

It happened around 4:35 p.m. on the 1000 block of Mission Boulevard at the Best Ontario Inn.

Arriving officers arrived at the scene and found three people with gunshot wounds.

No one was killed as of Friday night, but the three victims of the shooting were hospitalized with various injuries.

A SWAT team with an armored vehicle and long guns arrived at the scene and forced entry into at least one building on the property.

Several people were arrested for questioning, police said, but no one was arrested as of Friday night. The suspected shooter is still wanted, but police believe the shooter was among those arrested and questioned.

During the investigation, officers stayed in the area throughout the evening. Residents have been asked to avoid the area.
