2 shots, 1 fatal, in hallway of South Chicago building
CHICAGO — A man and woman were shot and killed in a hallway of a South Chicago building late Saturday night, the man fatally.
Police say the man and woman were on the third floor of a hallway in a building on the 8700 block of South Burley Avenue around 11:06 p.m. when shots were fired.
According to police, the 27-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene with gunshot wounds to his back and the 25-year-old woman was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition with a gunshot wound to the left leg.
No one is currently in custody and the police are still investigating.
