2 people injured in I-96 crash in Kentwood

GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan (WOOD) - Two people were seriously injured in an accident on I-96 in Kentwood Thursday night, the dispatch said. It happened around 8:33 p.m. on westbound I-96 near Forest Hills Avenue. The Kent County report confirmed a car had rolled into the median and two people inside had "serious" injuries. What led to the crash is unclear. A westbound lane of I-96 was closed after the accident. Michigan State Police and Cascade Township Fire responded to the scene.
